Nowadays, wall clocks aren’t as necessary as they used to be, but they still make lovely decorations! I wanted to decorate my crafting space and, of course, I wanted something fabric-themed (and in rainbow colors) for the walls.
During one of my IKEA trips, I came across a clock called Tromma that has holes for numbers. This design makes it ideal for threading thread through it.
I used a backstitch to create all the lines of the clock. To achieve thick lines, I used two full strands of thread and passed through each number twice.

The clock has a clear front panel that I removed by gently wiggling it around.
Threading the holes
As previously mentioned, I used two full strands for each pass. To achieve this, I used a single long thread and folded it in half. I used the largest needle that I have and a needle threader for this project.
To start the line I knot would not work, because the holes are quite big and it would just slip through the hole.
Instead, I pulled almost all of the thread through the first hole, then went back through the second hole and then the loop at the end to secure the beginning.
From there I moved on to make back stitches until I went through all the holes. Once I reached the end, I tied a knot at the end and secured it with tape for added stability. Then did the same steps again with a second thread.
I repeated those steps for all numbers. Not much more to it.
